Techniques used are – marma therapy massaging specific points on the body, this is incorporated in a deeply relaxing nurturing massage flow that is nourishing and healing for the whole being. In ayurvedic massage we massage the head, face, back, front (including the abdomen, sides, flanks, feet and hands. Each individual can chose areas they do or don’t want massaged. Each massage is designed to suit the constitution of the person and different flows and sequences are done to balance the constitution of the person – for kapha constitution – usually vigorous, for pitta and vata constitutions usually calming flow. Meridian massage is included also if it is needed. Using ayurvedic oils.

Incorporating massage and nourishing /nurturing the whole being in a beautiful environment. Ruksha sweda – heat treatment using salt, uncooked rice and herbs which are heated and placed in a clothe to make a poultice and applied to body – good for osteoarthritis, arthritis, swollen joints, deep seated muscle tension, respiratory diseases, mucous, cough, asthma, rhinitis, toxins, heaviness, pain and aches in body, sciatica and muscle spasms etc..

Pinda sweda – cooked rice, herbs placed in clothe to make a poultice tied up and heated in milk or oil and then applied to the body. This treatment is good for osteoarthritis, joint pain and stiffness, muscle wasting and swelling, myalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, prolapse of intervertebral disc, joint degeneration and weakness. It strengthens and rejuvenates joints, muscles and soft tissue. All vata diseases, heaviness of the body, stiffness of sides, back and waist, sciatica, neuralgia and numbness.

Patra sweda – fresh lemons/limes, castor leaves or oil, fresh herbs cooked in oil then placed in clothe making a poultice and tied, heating in medicated oil and applying to the body – fantastic for acute pain such a spurs on the heels, plantar fasciitis, arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, spondylitis, spondylosis, chronic back pain, myalgia, neuralgia, cramps, sciatica, sprains and much more.

Utilising these oil treatments penetrating deeply into the nervous system nourishing the whole being – deeply beneficial, healing and thoroughly relaxing and uplifting.

Kati basti (lower back) – dough ball shaped into a donut (using atta flour) placed on lower back and pouring warm oil into the dough donut on sacral area – fantastic for sciatica and lower back problems, all vata diseases, disc prolapse, compressed and inflamed vertebrae, relating to lower body, menstrual pain and constipation.

Hridaya basti – dough ball (atta flour) shaped into a donut and placed over heart area, filling with warm oil – emotional problems, sadness, angina, high blood pressure, respiratory problems – asthma, wheezing, chest pain, stress, anxiety, non productive cough and grief.

Janu basti – dough ball (atta flour) shaped into a donut over both knees filling with warm oil – knee injuries such as ligament injuries, bursitis, tendonitis and cartilage tears.

Griva basti – cotton clothe pads covered in hot oil placed over back of neck area – great for all neck problems, frozen shoulder, bronchial neuralgia and muscle tension. Includes hot stones.

Netra basti – dough ball (udad flour) made into a donut over each eye and bathing eyes in ghee – good for tension headaches and migraines, dry/itchy eyes, improves vision and concentration/mental acuity, eyestrain and tension, wrinkles, dark circles and macular degeneration, painful swollen eyes, falling eyelashes, good for optic nerves and conjunctivitis. Includes face and head massage.


Nasya + Head and Face Massage1hr$90

Fantastic for the sinuses – very uplifting and energising. Nasya is a sinus treatment which includes head, face, neck and shoulder massage with emphasis on stimulating the sinuses. Includes herbal steam and the administering of anu taila, which is a medicated oil, instilling oil drops into nostrils. For preventing sinusitis, hay fever and it improves the eyesight, great for neck stiffness, cervical spondylosis, stress, memory loss, migraines, insomnia, sinus issues and tinnitus.
